Children aged about 6–12
What matters most is that a child can follow simple rules, listen and train within a group – not the exact age.
Age-appropriate Kids-Defence training for children aged about 6 to 12 – building self-confidence, assertiveness, awareness and child-friendly self-protection skills. In Düsseldorf-Gerresheim, since 2010.

Kids-Defence is not aggression training. Children learn to recognise situations early, set clear boundaries and – only if truly necessary – protect themselves in an age-appropriate way.
The focus is on assertiveness through awareness, voice and body language, combined with simple, child-friendly self-protection exercises. Step by step, children gain more confidence in everyday situations.
Children learn to notice and assess situations earlier.
Standing up for yourself – calmly and clearly.
Voice, eye contact and posture are practised deliberately.
Clear rules and repetition build steady behaviour.
Children experience that they are capable – not helpless.
Saying no, keeping distance and getting help are practised hands-on.
Many children's activities keep kids busy. Kids-Defence aims deeper: confident behaviour, awareness and the ability to react more clearly in difficult situations.

Your child does not need to be athletic, strong or brave. Many children join precisely to build confidence and a calmer presence.
Shy children often benefit most: they practise clear boundaries, a steady voice and a calmer presence – at their own pace, without pressure.

Safety and trust in children's training
A few voices from parents, translated from German Google reviews.
My son has been training here for two years and feels very much at home. The training has often helped him to be strong at school. It takes more than muscles – and the trainers convey that brilliantly.
Quieter children are gently encouraged and motivated instead of being left behind. My son feels very well looked after. A clear recommendation!
Our daughter had a trial session in July and was thrilled right away. She has already gained self-confidence. We feel very comfortable here and know our daughter is in good hands.
